Alone in New York (with 8 million other people)

My self portrait for the day. With Sue not around today there will be very few (none) pictures of me doing stuff. My arms are not really long enough to take a self portrait with something of interest in the back ground (t-rex arms really) ;)

I decided this morning to try to find the guitar center here in New York. I went online a found two locations, so I pulled out my handy subway map and set out. I got within about 10 blocks and had to walk to rest. It was VERY cold. I finally found the address and the guitar center had....... moved. SO... I pulled out my handy subway map and realized that I had to take a bus to go crosstown. Ugh. I hate the bus. so I decided to WALK the 15 (short) blocks to the guitar center. along the way I saw.....................

the flat iron building...... One of them A bench that would have been a lovely place to sit down and drink a delicious coffee beverage with my honey whilst window shopping on 5th avenue, whilst wearing quadruple layers of fleece from toe to scalp.
And finally.... my destination. this place was packed. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes (Sorry Gabe, please don't disown me).
