We got up early, ate the free breakfast and motored out of town, we decided last minute to take a drive out to the coast, but take the long way, sounded pretty fun at the time! Our 2 hour trip turned into a 4 hour drive, but it was a blast! We stopped wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted and totally took advantage of being 'footloose'! Our destination: San Diego Zoo!
After the 4 hour drive we finally parked the car and made our way into the zoo. It was odd to be in such a fun place without our children . Don't get me wrong, we did miss them!
We took the tram, did some walking, talked with local camera experts, and when we got tired, we sat down, or took a shuttle... It was so fun being with just us, we like us!!
After the zoo we went to find a Southern California beach, but there must have been a
forestfire somewhere, because the whole are smelled like fire. We left the area and decided to take a different way home. The way we found was a perfect way to try out what the car could do, we found a VERY twisty fun road, and no one else was on it. Then came some
superfun straightaways that we got to push the engine to see how fast it could go!
This was such a great day of adventure for us. We had fun just being Dan and Jenn. We went to the new condo and made some awesome supper, but
that's for a different blog!
