Palm Desert Part one

Hello! Thanks for joining us in very SUNNY and HOT California! Jenn and I decided to fly down here spur of the moment with a cheap airline deal, mixed with a blessing from our friends the Enns' timeshare to have an affordable trip to SUNNY and HOT Palm Desert/Palm Springs.

Woke up this morning to 100 degree weather, went for a random drive and came across a street fair. Lots of funky local stuff, as well as a whole lot of really ugly clothing. I have spared you the picture of the clothing.

Jenn recently got a new camera and so she took advantage of some 'new to us' scenery. Above is a flower and its friend, and below is the road we took to a lookout on San Jacinta Mtn. The car we rented (and upgraded!) was so fun on this particular chunk of road, you can see Palm Springs in the background of the picture.

On the way back down the mountain we found this (and other) gorgeous desert flower. There is some amazing scenery here. I still prefer the green, thick forest of the fraser valley, but this is nice for a change.

Below is a picture of my gorgeous wife in our C70, in front of our dinner choice for the evening. The Crap Pot was a unique eating experience. They dumped our food (crab legs, clams, mussels, potatoes, sausage, shrimp) in the middle of the table, gave us huge bibs, and lets us free!! It was fun, and messy, which is fun too! Ethan would have loved it!
